In my career I have found excellent deals through the MLS, local newspapers, for sale by owner properties, mailer campaigns, referrals, word of mouth, knocking doors, broker to broker contacts, Notice of Default lists, foreclosure auctions, and many more avenues. It is just not enough to browse the MLS or commercial listing sites for a property and expect to get a great deal. The best deals of my career have never hit the MLS or any other public site. Many homes in Holladay never hit the MLS but trade "under the radar".
